Women's Ministry

The First Baptist Church Women's Ministry offers women of all ages opportunities to develop meaningful, lasting friendships, given and receive support and encouragement and grow in the knowledge of God.  We want women to grow spiritually and to become fully devoted followers of Christ through Bible study, fellowship, missions, service, and prayer.  Whether you are single or married, young or "seasoned," new to town or a lifelong resident, a member of First Baptist Church or not - you are welcome!

Baptist Women on Mission (WOmen's Missionary Union)

The Baptist Women on Mission (WMU) offers organizations and approaches, as well as ministries, that enable every member of the church to learn about missions, become involved in missions, and live a missional lifestyle.  WMU offers many opportunities to fulfill the six objectives of the WMU that are at the heart of missions:

  • Pray for Missions
  • Engage in Mission Action and Witnessing
  • Learn about Missions
  • Support Missions
  • Develop Spiritually toward a Missions Lifestyle
  • Participate in the Work of the Church and Denomination
