Deaf Ministry

Over forty years ago, First Baptist Church started to offer interpreted worship services, and it has since developed into a ministry that offers many opportunities for growth and service.  In the past few years, the Deaf Ministry has grown to provide many outlets: Sunday School, interpreted and deaf-led worship services, discipleship studies, prayer groups, mission experiences, revivals, training workshops, American Sign Language classes, community advocacy and awareness support, monthly fellowships, and more.

As we have grown in our commitment and responsibility, we have sensed a great vision for our congregation.  Our ministry goals are to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all people, to disciple Christians so they may grow into the likeness of Christ, to come together as the body of Christ in a way that encourages and affirms fellow believers and their spiritual gifts, and to join together in prayer for God's purposes to be fulfilled.
