Music Ministry

Music has long been a vibrant part of the history of God's people.  Music has the power to inspire, unite, and teach us in our walk together as a community of faith through life's journey.  It is one of the most effective ways we communicate to God and each other as the body of Christ.

The main goal of the Music Ministry is to serve as a vehicle of expression in worship, provide a place of service to those gifted in musical expression, and serve as a small group for ministry and accountability purposes.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."

Colossians 3:16

opportunities to serve and grow

  • Adults

We are always looking for people whom God has gifted musically to help lead our congregation in worship!  Opportunities for adults include the Sanctuary Choir, Handbells, Orchestra, Men's and Women's Ensembles, and the Rhythm Section.  The Sanctuary Choir is open to everyone; the other groups require an audition.  Join us and use your talent for the glory of God!  For more information, contact Ricky Clark in the church office today!

  • Youth

Our Youth Choir meets every Wednesday night at 5:45 p.m. to rehearse and to grow spiritually by singing.  All students from 7th-12th grades are welcome to join the Youth Choir!  Additionally, students who are instrumentalists are welcome to audition of the Orchestra and the Rhythm Section.  For more information, contact Ricky Clark in the church office today!

  • Children

Our Children's Choirs are open to all children from age 3 through 6th grade and meet every Wednesday night from 6:00-6:40 p.m.  In our various Children's Choirs, we have a lot of fun and learn great spiritual truths by singing biblical songs and making joyful noises to the Lord!  For more information, contact Ricky Clark in the church office today!

  • Worship Technical Support

Worship at First Baptist Church requires a great deal of technical assistance from a large team of dedicated volunteers.  These teams are led by our Technical Director and Television Director.  We are always looking to train men and women for camera operation, lighting operation, projection operation, sound assistance, and state management.  For more information, contact Ricky Clark in the church office today!
